Nick also joins the Inner Circle!

I really must ensure that I let you all know the news when it happens!

Last Wednesday, 2nd July, Nick Helsby took and passed his module-2 motorcycle test with us at the Failsworth Driving Test Centre. Nick rode an excellent ride, recording just 2 minor faults and the examiner even complimented him on his riding!

Next step will be getting a bike, then Nick is looking forward to continuing his learning by attending our “Improve your Riding” course to take his riding to the next level.

Well done, Nick!

Tom joins the Inner Circle with excellent first time pass!

Congratulations are due to Tom Plevin, who today passed his module 2 motorcycle test at Failsworth test centre, recording just 3 minor faults!

Having taken his CBT with us at our training centre in Stockport just after we opened last month and fitting his training around his work commitments, Tom passed his module 1 test first time with a clean sheet on 11th June the day after passing his Theory Test! Having completed the hat-trick of test passes, Tom is now a full member of the Inner Circle and after a well deserved holiday will be seeking out a bike and looking to do some advanced riding training with us!

Congratulations, Tom!

Gift Certificates!

Ever struggled to find the perfect gift for a loved one?

Whether they have never ridden a bike before, or are a seasoned biker, Inner Circle Training’s Gift Certificates could be just the present you are looking for!

Available in £25, £50, £75, £100 and £125 denominations, these beautiful gift certificates are guaranteed to bring a smile to your loved one’s face! You can order them online or by giving Tracy a call on 0161 914 7509.

Valid for 12 months, they can be redeemed against any motorcycle or scooter training course run out of our training centre in Stockport. That could be for a CBT which would teach them the basics of riding a bike including a minimum of 2 hours of road-based instruction, or part of a Direct Access course to get them their full bike licence, opening up an entire world of 2-wheeled adventures! Or perhaps they already have a full licence in which case the gift certificate could be used towards an Improving Your Riding course, which takes place out on the stunning country roads of the Peak District. Or perhaps they would prefer to use it to stock up on motorcycle accessories from our Bike-IT range, or MOTUL oils and lubricants to treat their bike?

Whatever they choose to put the Gift Certificate towards, they won’t forget who got it for them – and perhaps they’ll return the favour for you too!

Motul Oils, lubricants and cleaning products in stock!

Following our recent launch of the Bike-IT product range at our Training Centre in Stockport, we are delighted to announce we have struck a deal with Motul to stock their range of motorcycle and scooter specific oils, lubricants and cleaning products.

Motul
Our range of Motul Oils, lubricants and cleaning products has everything you could need for your bike!

Motorcycle oils may not be the most exciting topic but they are a critical component in ensuring your bike runs smoothly and continues to put that smile on your face. Motorcycle oils are not the same as car oils – they are engineered specifically for the demands of motorcycle engines, many of which feature wet clutches which need to slip just the right amount for maximum control whilst transmitting the right amount of power to the back wheel. Different bikes require different oils – mineral, semi-synthetic or fully synthetic – and different viscosity levels (10w30, 10w40, 10w50 etc). We can advise on the correct oil for your bike and supply it at a competitive price.

In addition to motorcycle and scooter oils, our extensive range includes chain cleaner & chain lube – essential to maintain your drive chain in good condition; brake fluids, brake cleaner, carb cleaner, tyre puncture repair cans, scooter oils (2 stroke and 4 stroke) and gearbox oils for bikes or scooters with separate gearboxes (like my BMW GS!).

Finally we also carry a small stock of bike cleaning and care products to ensure your bike looks as good as it runs!

If you want to know how to look after your bike, don’t forget we run monthly Bike Maintenance courses in the workshop at our Training Centre, see the Event Calendar for details.

Inner Circle Training to stock Bike-IT accessories!

We are very pleased to announce we have been appointed as a Bike-IT stockist. Bike-IT are a major distributor of motorcycle parts and accessories, and we will be able to supply our customers anything from the Bike-IT catalogue at a very competitive price.

We will also be carrying a carefully chosen selection from their range for sale at our Training Centre, including summer and autumn/winter gloves, L-plates, helmet cleaning products, quality high-viz waistcoats and the extremely useful Pressure Alert tyre valve caps.

Come along to Bike Night on Monday and check out our new display!

A new addition to the family!

No, Paul and Tracy have not had yet another grandchild (although No.10 is on the way!), but we have added a new bike to our fleet!

Meet the smallest member of the Inner Circle Training fleet, all ready for anyone aged 16 who wants to complete their Compulsory Basic Training (that’s CBT to you and me!) here in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

It is a CPI Formula R 50cc ‘moped’ and has a nippy 2-stroke engine delivering a top speed of, well, it’s a moped, so it’s restricted to 45kph (around 30mph). Our Chief Instructor rode it from our friends, High Barn Motorcycles in Chadderton all the way to our Training Centre in Stockport and had this to say: “It’s actually really nice to ride, quite quick off the mark all the way up to its maximum speed, but I don’t think I’ll be swapping my GS for one anytime soon!”.

If you are 16, or know someone who will shortly be 16, all they need is a provisional licence and they can be on the road on one of these beauties as soon as they’ve completed their CBT. And we know just the place to get them started with the finest instruction around!

Launch Event Raises £86 for North West Blood Bikes (Manchester)

A huge thank you from all of us at Inner Circle Training to everyone who came to our Launch Event.

We had over 35 people turn up to see our fantastic new Training Centre in Stockport, from where we will be delivering Compulsory Basic Training (otherwise known as CBT) and Direct Access training as well as post-test rider improvement (advanced) training. They also saw first hand our superb workshop facilities where we will be servicing our school bikes and running our monthly Bike Maintenance courses.

But I think the thing they enjoyed the most were the cakes – so much so that we raised a whopping £86 for our chosen charity, North West Blood Bikes (Manchester)!

A massive thank you also goes to Tracy, Katy, Katie, Carlie, Sean and Konnor for all their help in making cakes, serving endless cups of tea/coffee and looking after the little ones on the bouncy castle!

Don’t forget we are also hosting our social events and evening classes at our Training Centre – see the Events Calendar for details!

LAUNCH EVENT – Sunday 11th May

In case you hadn’t spotted it in the Events Calendar we are hosting a Launch Event at our Training Centre on Meyer Street in Stockport!

This event is an opportunity to come down and meet the team, have a look round our facilities, find out more about our unique approach to motorcycle training and more importantly have a brew and a few slices of home-made cake! We will be selling drinks and cakes to raise money for our chosen charity, North West Blood Bikes (Manchester) who do excellent work getting essential medical supplies to where they are needed. Have a look at their website for more details.

Also on the day we will have a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained and allow the adults to do what we love doing – chatting about bikes!
